Our General English Courses offer a programme of study for students who wish to improve their level of confidence, accuracy and fluency in Communicative English language skills.
Our General English Morning classes offer a balanced and comprehensive programme in speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, pronunciation, vocabulary development and grammar.
Our General English Afternoon classes focus on the major communicative functions and language used in everyday spoken English and the development of English language skills.
All our General English Courses allow a high degree of flexibility to enable the programme to meet the needs of the students and our small classes (average 6 students per class) ensure that each student has the optimum opportunity to improve their Communicative English Skills.

Weekly conversation and pronunciation classes for adult students
Pronunciation classes: 3.30 – 4.30 Tuesdays. Work with other TalkTalk students to improve your pronunciation in a fun, interactive way.
Conversation classes: 3.30 – 4.30 Thursdays. Join TalkTalk students of other nationalities to practice your conversation skills.
English for Further Studies / High School Preparation (EFS)
This course will help you to improve your General English level and develop academic and study skills necessary for high school or college in South Africa.
Course content:
Morning classes work on General English including grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Afternoon classes introduce academic language, study skills, time management and learning about the demands of studying in an English-speaking school.
Preparation for IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge FCE and other exams.
Examinations are taken in Cape Town, Johannesburg or Durban:
- 0 20 hours + 5 hours preparation
- 0 20 hours + 10 hours preparation
